While questions are rife over the future of the legal services industry in the wake of the Legal Services Act, many of the city’s firms still have cause to celebrate. One such firm is Hartnell Chanot and Partners, the family law specialists, who are this week taking stock of a very successful few months.
Staff and Directors of the Exeter and Plymouth based firm, now in its 22nd year, are celebrating a series of achievements that have helped to reinforce their standing as a leader in their field. The latest success came in the form of the publication of the Chambers UK 2013 directory; which has acknowledged work of the firm with an excellent ranking position.
The guide notes:
‘This well-respected team is adept at “putting anxious clients at ease.”The group offers a range of services to such individuals, including advice on international aspects of divorce and separation. The firm also has a large child abduction and care team, and its children’s lawyers are often involved in complex emergency work.’- Chambers UK 2013
In addition to the firm wide ranking, both Norman Hartnell and recent addition Vanessa Priddis have been ranked in the guide for his individual performance and expertise.
Rachel Buckley, Director, commented: “Everyone at the firm is delighted by the announcement of the Chambers and Partners ranking, this is further acknowledgement of the incredible amount of work that we all contribute.” She went on to say: “This announcement follows an outstanding performance in the Legal 500 Directory, acknowledgement at the Family Law Awards and the very recent appointment of Vanessa Priddis, one of the most accomplished family solicitors in the region.”
Whatever the future has in store for the industry, Hartnell Chanot & Partners believe that firms like theirs- focussing on their specialist work areas and committing to the delivering of excellent quality service for their clients- will be able to face any of the obstacles that the sector may face.
