In the course of two meetings that involved each person having legal and financial advice, and with Norman’s assistance, the husband and wife were able to find a solution that worked well for both of them. This provided the structure that their respective lawyers could then commit to legal documentation. The two mediation meetings cost a tiny fraction of the sum that both parties would have had to spend on lawyers ‒ quite apart from the expense, delay and polarisation of their positions that court proceedings would have involved.
