As part of our Everyday Bravery video series, Sarah shares her personal story of bravery and resilience.
Sarah is an entrepreneur and the female founder of Six Degrees, a community supporting women to connect, grow, and create opportunity, which encourages everyone to reach their full potential, professionally and personally.
She began her journey after surviving domestic abuse in her own life. For Sarah, everyday bravery means people who are able to live courageously each day in line with their purpose and belief values. Those who want to move forward, who are prepared to have awkward conversations or speak up about something when others won’t. Being brave and courageous at times when others turn away.
Domestic abuse is a prolific issue; the term covers emotional, psychological, physical, financial and sexual abuse of an intimate partner, child, former partner, family member or associated person. The Family Law Company handle cases of domestic abuse daily.
Our Joint-MD and specialist divorce and finance lawyer Rachel Buckley has spoken about how she has to be brave in her role to help her clients learn to set boundaries particularly when it comes to coercive control. Find out more here: https://youtu.be/abv8NBfYTaM?si=sldZ1NzbQCOtzUXu.
