Bravery isn’t always about battling a dragon. Sometimes it is just about finding the strength to carry on the next day, about being vulnerable and open and honest. As part of our Everyday Bravery series, Donna shares her thoughts on what everyday bravery means to her and how she continues to have to be brave following the death of her daughter Rose.
Previously Donna thought bravery meant being strong and carrying on no matter what. After her own experiences with a devastating loss, and seeing how others cope with similar situations, she believes the bravest are those who are able to be honest and ask for help when they need it.
Our core values at The Family Law Company are deeply intertwined with the concept of bravery. We believe in listening, thinking, and then acting with courage and integrity. We lean into difficult conversations, adapt to meet the needs of our clients and colleagues, and challenge ourselves and others to grow. We encourage creativity and individuality, speak up when we are struggling, and stand up for the vulnerable.
For over 30 years, we have stood beside those making courageous decisions, providing specialist support with compassion and expertise. We believe that every act of bravery, no matter how large or small, deserves recognition and support. Our commitment to celebrating everyday bravery reflects our dedication to empowering our clients and colleagues, fostering an environment where courage is acknowledged and celebrated.
By championing everyday bravery, we aim to make a lasting positive impact on the lives of those we serve and beyond. With our EveryDay Bravery campaign, we hope to inspire others to recognise and embrace their own bravery, creating a ripple effect of positivity and resilience within our communities.
