Free guidance to separated parents during the Covid-19 pandemic

The webinar takes place on Thursday April 30 at 11am and anyone interested is invited to register for a free place.

During the session, two specialist family law solicitors, Hannah Porter and Imran Khodabocus will clarify the facts for separated parents who are finding decisions about co-parenting difficult during the Covid-19 lockdown period.

Senior Associate Solicitor Imran, who specialises in family law matters involving children explains:

“The idea for the webinar came after an unprecedented response to a blog on the subject written by Hannah that saw traffic to the company’s website double in a single day.

“It became clear there are lots of separated parents who are still confused about whether children should move between homes, how government guidelines about social distancing and self isolation apply, and how to ensure that everyone involved stays safe.

The webinar has been designed to give practical as well as legal advice, with an agenda covering:

  • Introduction
  • Practical tips for separated parents
  • Child Arrangement Orders (CA)
  • Q&A

This webinar is the first of five being put together to provide crucial advice to parents and couples trying to cope during this stressful period. Future topics include Facing separation in lockdown and  tips for cohabitating couples.

Imran added: “The Family Law Company is available to help anyone worried about family issues at this time; – although we have a reduced team in our physical office our lawyers are also working from home. We’re set up to offer our full service, including a free 30 minutes initial ‘virtual’ appointment by phone or teams meeting.”
