Law firm kicks off sponsorship of Truro City FC

Family law specialist The Family Law Company has agreed a sponsorship deal with a football team – for the first time in the firm’s 33-year history.

The company is now an official sponsor of Truro City FC, which is now settled into its permanent home after the opening of the brand new stadium in August.

Director Lucy Theobald who heads up the company’s Truro office in Walsingham Place, visited the new stadium with colleague, Business Development Director Kerry England.

Lucy said: “This is something new for the firm as we’ve never sponsored a football team before.

“As a Cornish local, I’ve followed the Tinners fortunes for many years. It was exciting to step into the new stadium; next time I’ll be there with the home crowd cheering the team on!”

The new stadium, built as part of the Langarth Village Project, has capacity for 3000 spectators and meets FA specifications, ideal should Truro City progress.

“Given the positivity of the move to the stadium after four years without a home, and the increase in the number of spectators, we’re hoping for some great results during the season.”

The Family Law Company opened its first office in Cornwall in 2022 to offer a specialist family legal service including legal aid to the local community. The move has proved a success and there are plans in progress to develop the regional office further.

“Not on such a grand scale as Truro City’s new stadium, but for us it will be an equally important development,” added Lucy.
