Separation can be devastating, but it doesn’t have to be that way. There is a “better way” for you, your family and your children.
Resolutions is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Resolution campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.
This week sees Resolutions biggest public-facing campaign of the year, Family Dispute Resolution Week. The campaign has a number of different elements, including a video, press and social media activity.
Upon separation you and your former partner have many options available to you to help resolve disputes that might arise, including mediation, collaborative practice and arbitration, together with negotiations through solicitors. These processes support you and your former partner to work together to decide what happens to your children when you separate, and how money and other assets such as the family home will be divided between you.
Avoiding Court proceedings by using alternative dispute resolution processes can be quick and cost effective, giving you more control and enabling you to resolve your dispute and move on with your life.
At The Family Law Co we take a different approach to many traditional family law practices. Rather than focus on blame, our family lawyers promote a problem solving approach, “a better way”, we also lead the way in constructive methods of resolving family disputes. We want to find a solution that is right for the whole family, and is arrived at in the most amicable way possible, whilst still protecting the rights of our clients.
Resolutions have produced a powerful video to coincide with the Family Dispute Resolution Week campaign. The video is aimed at members of the public who are going through a separation, or know someone else who is, and sends a strong message about the range of people that separation can affect.
If you have any questions in relation to any aspect of family law or wish to deal with your dispute in “a better way” please contact one of our team at The Family Law Co.
